Solar water heating
The panels we install are designed to be used on sloped or flat roofs and in conjuction with a solar hot water cylinder. A solar hot water cylinder incorporates another coil to heat the hot water alongside another heat source i.e. a condensing boiler. Solar panels are a fantastic source of free hot water and can provide hot water all year round.
Safety
It is essential solar systems are installed properly as the pipework can reach temperatures of up to 180c ,this means correct lagging, correct use of fittings and pipework and even preventing scalding on the hot water. To prevent scalding it is a requirement to fit a thermostatic mixing valve which limits the hot water to a preset temperature.

We commission the system using the latest technology to do it fast and effectively using a solar pump unit and glycol and adjust the programmer as neccessary. Glycol is a highly effective heat transfer liquid, older systems used water and were a lot less efficient.
